Connect:
Share how you have seen God in the Highs and Lows of your week.
Prayer:
Pray that God would lead your discussion time and bring fresh insight, conviction, and hope through your time together.
Review:
This past Sunday was all about celebrating the impact of our Believe series, hearing stories of what God did!
The Grand Tour of the message: Thinking back on what you heard this Sunday…
o What did you learn about God?
o What did you learn about people?
o What did you learn about yourself?
o What do you want to commit to putting into practice?
Read Romans 8:26-30 together.
Reflect:
Spend some time going around your group circle talking about the impact of the last 30 weeks of “Believe” in your walk with the Lord. Here are some questions to pass around:
What was the biggest impact in your walk with Jesus over the past 30 weeks?
What surprised you most as you were going through the Believe series (e.g., “I never really thought about how “gentle” I was being with the people around me!” or “I was surprised at the way the old testament and new testament have a lot of the same messages about how we treat one another”, etc)
Which of the virtues that we just went through (fruits of the Spirit in our lives) was your greatest strength and which was the one you were challenged to work on the most?
Describe your experience of memorizing Scripture— was it difficult, was it worth it, what helped you do that, will you continue…
Respond:
We began by reading through a set of verses in Romans about how God is in the process of transforming us to be more and more like Jesus. Spend some time as a group in prayer for that to happen, and make a personal commitment to surrender to what God is doing in your life!
